Roster Board is a shift calendar and roster app. This explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and what control you have over it.
Roster Board is operated by Jacob Fuller. If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact contact@rosterboard.net.
You can use Roster Board fully on one device without creating an account — your data then stays only in that device's local storage. An account is only needed to sync your data across devices or to share your roster with someone else.
Your data is used only to run the app for you: showing your calendar, calculating your reports, and syncing your data between your own devices when you're signed in. We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't sell it to anyone.
If you're signed in, your data is stored with Supabase, a third-party database and authentication provider, and the app itself is hosted with Render. Both are standard infrastructure providers used to run the app — they process data on our behalf and don't use it for their own purposes. If you're not signed in, your data never leaves your device.
If you choose to connect your account with someone else (Account → "Share your roster"), and they accept, each of you can see the other's shift types, overtime, leave, and shift swaps only. Your personal events/notes are never included in this, no matter what — this is enforced on the server, not just hidden in the app. You can remove a connection at any time, which stops the sharing immediately.
Connections to the app are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to your data is restricted at the database level so that only your own account can read or write it, other than the limited shared-roster case above.
You can sign out at any time from the Account tab. To have your account and data deleted, email contact@rosterboard.net and it will be removed.
Roster Board isn't directed at children and isn't intended for use by anyone under 16.
This policy may be updated from time to time as the app changes. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent version.
